Beauty From World Mastercard Fashion Week in Toronto

Spring beauty is all inspiring. From glowing skin to rouge lips, tousled strands to statement brows, the first two days of World MasterCard Fashion Week gave us a sneak peak at what beauty trends to look out for this spring 2013.

Evan Biddell Spring/Summer 2013 show beauty look

EVAN BIDDELL – Radiant skin, glossy red smackers

The inspiration behind the beauty look at Evan Biddell was Club Kid Grown Up. This girl is refined, more grown-up- the MUSE. Grace Lee gave models glowing skin with overdrawn saturated glossy red lips. To achieve the statement rouge pout, Grace and her team used Super Stay 14HR Lipstick in Ravishing Rouge and Color Sensational High Shine Gloss in Gleaming Grenadine.

Jorge Joao, Redken Lead Stylist created a retro unpolished hairstyle to compliment the makeup look. Jorge first divided the hair into two sections; top and bottom. Then he divided the sections from the temples to the back of the head. Starting with the bottom section, he applied Redken Hardware 16, Wax Blast 10, Fashion Work 12 and Shine Flash 02 to create texture and shine. He later tied the section off into a low ponytail. Jorge took the top section, raked product through the hair with his fingers and then laid it on top of the bottom ponytail. To finish the style off, he grabbed pieces from the bottom ponytail, intertwined it with the top ponytail to give a fish tail effect.

Pink Tartan Spring/Summer 2013 show beauty look

PINK TARTAN- Dewy skin, pink pouts and soft tousled strands.

The makeup look at Pink Tartan's Spring 2013 showing was soft, natural beauty. It was important that the look complimented the clean, ultra feminine theme within the collection. Maybelline New York makeup artist Grace Lee focused on fresh beautiful skin, giving it a youthful dewy glow. She then gave models soft pink lips to finished off the look.

Jorge Joao, Redken Lead Stylist took a cue from the natural makeup and created an edgy yet casual hair look. Jorge first created a left side part and pinned the portion of hair up with a side sweep. Then he added texture by curling the hair in big sections. He finished the look by gently raking his hands through the waves to create a beachy-type texture.
